MANAGEMENT TEAM MANAGEMENT TEAM Mark Cavicchia – CEO / Founder Prior to founding WhereverTV, Mark was Managing Director of Greater China for Everse Corporation, where he led software development efforts for Fortune 500 and Global 2000 clients. Mark has also served as President/CEO of a regional clinical laboratory and as a management consultant for boutique investment banking firms in Los Angeles. He has been a keynote speaker and featured panelist at various CRM conferences, where Mark spoke about how technology can be leveraged to enhance customer relationships and experiences. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara, where he was a Regents Scholar. Chris Dion – Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs Previously, Chris was Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs at THQ Wireless, a video game and wireless entertainment company, where as a key member of the executive team he worked with a host of top-tier licensing partners, including the NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, LucasFilms, Pixar, Disney, MTV, Nickelodeon, Fox, WWE, Sanrio and many others, and oversaw the launch of the largest wireless entertainment campaign in the history of the industry. Chris also served as Vice President, Business Development for Paramount Pictures Worldwide Pay Television Group, where he was responsible for Paramount’s online strategy and digital initiatives and led the business development for their pay TV, international channels, airline and hotel businesses. Chris also served as Paramount’s board member at Movielink, the online movie download service formed as a joint venture among MGM, Paramount, Sony Pictures, Universal Pictures and Warner Bros. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics degree from the University of California at Los Angeles, as well as a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of California at San Francisco (Hastings). Kashif Mueen – VP, Application Development Kashif has more than 12 years experience in the IT industry holding several senior positions in architecture, design, development, and technical project management. His knowledge has been leveraged in working with many different kinds of organizations, including large companies, to successfully support complex architectural, modeling, design and implementation needs. Past clients in the mobile media industry include MTV Networks, Turner Broadcasting Corporation and Penthera Technologies. Prior to joining WhereverTV, Kashif was an architect for MSA and successfully led the definition and development of the Management and Deployment Architecture for a large and distributed J2EE application for the Media industry. He has hands on experience in resolving critical product issues with a focus on modeling, mentoring, evaluation of ingredient technologies, and design and development of key business infrastructure components. Kashif holds Masters degrees in Business Administration and Information Systems from Texas A&M University Chanshon (C.S.) Wang – VP, Platform Development Prior to joining WhereverTV, C.S. served as General Manager of China for WIS Chip, a leader in high performance semiconductor solutions that enable innovations in the multimedia industry, including: IPTV, Set-Top Boxes, Networked Digital TV and IP Surveillance. C.S. also served as VP of Engineering for Accton Technology China, one of the world leading network communication products manufacturers of Ethernet, Fast Ethernet and Gigabit networking products, including hubs, switches, internet access devices, broadband products and wireless networking solutions. C.S. brings more than 30 years of international software and hardware design experience in the television, Wi-Fi, and telecommunications industries, as well as new venture start-ups and obtaining ISO9001 certification for 5 different entities. C.S. holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Tatung University in Taiwan, as well as a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska. Bob Delach – Chief Financial Officer Bob is a senior financial and operations executive with more than 25 years experience providing strong leadership to large and small organizations, including: manufacturing; distribution; retail; software; consulting and professional services. His areas of strength include: financial management, strategic planning, work process improvement, supply chain management, internal control, financial analysis, goal setting, team building, management and leadership. He is a proven leader with strong interpersonal, analytical, strategic and conceptual thinking skills. In addition to his role at WhereverTV, Bob works with several other early stage growth companies including Mobile Fusion and Geospatial Systems and also sits on the board of Logic Library, Inc. Prior to working as an executive with these early stage growth companies, Bob developed a wide range of financial skills and accumulated valuable management experience at Servistar Corporation (a $1.5 Billion hardware wholesaler), where he served as Manager of Merchandise and Financial Planning, providing strategic financial planning and administrative and systems leadership for Servistar’s merchandise, advertising, inventory control and import departments. Bob is a member of the A.I.C.P.A and the P.I.C.P.A. and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. BOARD OF DIRECTORS Mark DeSantis – Chairman of the Board Mark is President and Co-founder of Mobile Fusion, Inc. and Chairman of the Board of Cepstral, LLC. Previously he was Managing Director of ANGLE US Technology Group, which is a publicly traded venture capital and consulting firm. Prior to joining ANGLE, Mark co-founded several technology-based companies and was a Visiting Scientist and consultant to both Software Engineering Institute and Carnegie Mellon Research Institute. Mark serves on a number of corporate boards. Prior to moving to Pittsburgh, Mark was the Director of Government Relations for Texas Instruments, Inc. in Washington DC and, in that capacity, was responsible for managing TI’s various public sector relationships in the US and abroad. Before that he served in a number of policy positions in the federal government including as a Senior Policy Analyst in both The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and the U.S. Department of Commerce in the Administration of George H. W. Bush. He was also on the staff of the late U.S. Senator John Heinz and, prior to that, was a management consultant with Booz Allen and Hamilton. Mark is a frequent lecturer and published author on general management, strategy, economic development, and entrepreneurship. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Carnegie Mellon University and has lectured at the Katz School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh and The Tuck School at Dartmouth University. He is also an instructor in the Veterans Entrepreneurship Program at Robert Morris University. Mark holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Dayton, a Master of Science degree in Technology Management from The American University and a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Economics from George Mason University. Thomas Curran – Director Thomas Curran is the founder and CEO of Telemos AG based in Munich, a media technology company focused on building digital content distribution platforms, sports broadcasting technologies, media rights and registration services. Thomas is also the founder and director of the Digital Media Project, which aims to resolve media distribution by creating the first open-source DRM and digital media distribution environment and has also served as the technology advisor to the chancellor of the New York City Department of Education. Previously, Thomas served as CTO for Bertelsmann AG, where he led strategic initiatives regarding new media and digital content distribution. He was also responsible for the conglomerate’s global technology strategy, including designing and launching a two-year IT reorganization. Thomas serves or has served as an advisor to or board member of several companies involved in digital content distribution technology, including Microsoft, Entriq, Silicon Image, and Mark Logic and Deutsche Telekom. Thomas has authored numerous books, articles and publications and is the series editor for Prentice Hall’s ”Enterprise Software.” Thomas graduated from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and subsequently held teaching and research positions at the Wharton Analysis Center, the International Science Center (Berlin), Berlin University of the Arts, and Technical University Berlin. Jack Waterman – Director Most recently, Jack served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Vitalstream, Inc. and was instrumental in successfully negotiating the Company’s acquisition by Internap. Prior to Vitalstream, Jack had a 22-year career at Paramount Pictures Corporation, where he served for more than a decade as president of Worldwide Pay TV. His responsibilities included international channels, pay per view (PPV), video on demand (VOD) and airline and hotel sales. Additionally, Jack was the head of worldwide business affairs for the Home Entertainment Division. In these roles, he grew revenues from $250 million to more than $4 billion annually. Jack oversaw a multitude of business relationships with leading entertainment companies including HBO, Starz, MTV, Nickelodeon, Kodak, Technicolor and Deluxe and also served on Movielink.com’s board, a studio partnership created to deliver video product on the Internet. Jack also held several roles at the executive vice president (EVP), senior vice president (SVP) and vice president (VP) levels within the Video Division, Motion Picture Marketing and the TV Group, which included all of Paramount Television’s distribution operations. During his tenure at Paramount, Jack successfully oversaw the division’s worldwide administration and operations, launched an in-house creative advertising, media planning and buying agency and was divisional CFO which included strategic planning and acquisitions. ADVISORY BOARD Lincoln Bandlow – Advisor Lincoln is a partner at Spillane Shaeffer Aronoff Bandlow LLP, a leading media and entertainment law firm located in Century City, California, where he specializes in litigating Media, First Amendment, Intellectual Property and other entertainment-related matters. Prior to joining Spillane Shaeffer Aronoff Bandlow LLP, Lincoln was a partner in the law firm of Leopold, Petrich & Smith, P.C., where he represented clients in the motion picture, television, publishing, broadcasting and advertising fields. In addition, Lincoln has represented several of the principal underwriters for the entertainment industry. Prior to joining LP&S, he was in the Legal Affairs Department for The Carsey-Werner Company, a television production company and before that was with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in Los Angeles, practicing First Amendment and Entertainment litigation. Lincoln is a frequent speaker on media and intellectual property issues and has written numerous articles for legal publications regarding media law and intellectual property. Lincoln was the President of the Los Angeles Copyright Society during its 2005-2006 term, has three times been named a “Rising Star Attorney” by Los Angeles Magazine and is AV Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbel. In addition to practicing law, Lincoln has been a Visiting Professor at the Annenberg School of Journalism at the University of Southern California since the Spring of 1995, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in Media and Entertainment Law. Lincoln received a B.A. in Political Science at UCLA and a Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from Boston University School of Law. Abdul Khan – Advisor Abdul is currently the Founder and CEO of Interfun Networks, Inc., a platform to launch various consumer Internet properties. Prior to founding Interfun Networks, Abdul was a Senior Associate at Crosslink Capital, a technology venture capital firm in the Bay Area with approximately $1.1 billion under management. At Crosslink, Abdul was responsible for the firm's consumer Internet, business and mobile data services investments in Omniture (NASDAQ: OMTR), Pandora, The Generations Network (formerly known as MyFamily), PhoneSpots (formerly known as PocketThis), Hotel Booking Solutions, Marketworks and Surgient. Prior to joining Crosslink, Abdul was a Senior Investment Banking Analyst covering the Digital Media sector for UBS Warburg and was involved with various public equity transactions for companies such as Midway Games (NYSE: MWY), Acclaim Entertainment and Global Imaging Systems (NASDAQ: GISX). Abdul holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both Finance and Real-Estate from the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University. |
